JANUARY- In a group show at Donna Gordon Gallery in St. petersburg, Florida. The reception is Saturday, the 14th, from 5:30-8:00.

DECEMBER- My buddy Clif had a party at his warehouse in brooklyn. Met the dude that builds the Macy's window displays and several other artist. it was pretty damn cool. If Brooklyn had a coast and was 800 miles further south and i was 15 years younger and had a trust fund i'd move there. Getting old rocks!
NOVEMBER- Wasn't yesterday August?.
OCTOBER- Ben Cambell used my painting for the jacket of his book, A Welcome Walk Into the Dark. Its about the Southern Appalachian Culture and available at Barnes and Noble.
SEPTEMBER- The wife said nothing happened on her cruise to Jamaica last year, but i got my doubts.

AUGUST- Will someone please tell Milla Kunis to stop texting me. Thanks.
JULY- Went to New Orleans to hangout with my sister. If you ever want to end it all by drinking yourself to death, thats the town to do it in. Trust me, noone's gonna stop ya. They'd probably fight over who gets to buy your last shot. Good times for sure.
JUNE- Read John Grisham's 'The Partner' in just 2 days while on vacation. Pretty impressive. My wife said people do that all the time. Yeah right.
MAY- Annual spring art show, Sunday, May 15th from 1 to 8 P.M. Beer, Wine, Food, Music, Dance, Irish Yoga.
APRIL- Heard gas was going up to $5 a gallon so i Bought a Chevy Yukon.
MARCH- Got scuba certified. Now i can start painting those cool Wyland style split water scenes with the dolphins and rainbows that he makes millions from.

DECEMBER- Still eating. Just 2 small pieces of Turkey left. Hams all gone.
NOVEMBER- Ate.
OCTOBER- Don't eat at Ryan's. Took a dump this morning that I'm pretty sure was illegal in 14 states.
SEPTEMBER- Got a booth at the Surf Expo in Orlando. pretty stoked. Caught waves from Hurricane Earl. Best its been in 2 years.
AUGUST- Went to NYC. Finally made it to Jonathan Lavines Gallery and saw some of my favorite artist in person. Also went to an art opening at some other gallery. TV crew was there filming the gallery owner with her fake lips, fake tits, holding her lapdog in one hand and gucci bag in the other. Pretty surreal and lame. Chugged the free wine and got out of there.
JULY- I need to learn to just walk away from a painting when i think it's done. Other than my wife, Selma Hayek or BBQ porkchops, if you stare at something to long it just starts to look worse and worse.
JUNE- Virgina Beach show this month. should be a money maker. 4 days, 300,00 people. If I can't make money there I quit. Again.
MAY- Pretty much a blur.
APRIL- Went and got a physical. Doc said my cholesterol was 250. Pretty sure she was lying. Probably mad about the prostate exam.
MARCH- The sun came out on the 8th. Sure was pretty.

FEBRUARY- Can't paint. Paints frozen.
JANUARY- I don't remember moving my wife, house, and dog to Fargo, North Dakato, but it sure feels like it.

DECEMBER- On my way to work I was thinking about how i am more broke now than i was 20 years ago, After 20 years of 'work'. Then I hit a pothole and the muffler fell off.
NOVEMBER- Went to Tortola for 10 days. Nice waves. Ate a Goat. Not Baaaaaaaaaaaad.
OCTOBER- Where's all my rich friends?
SEPTEMBER- Can't Remember.
AUGUST- Went back to Long Island to pickup the art that didn't sell. There's a reason its called Long Island.
JULY- Having a show in Long Island for a month at Studio East Gallery. Celebrating the 4th in NYC, should be fun.
JUNE- Putting a coffee shop in the Gallery. Hope to have it up and running by July 4th.
MAY
APRIL- Just accepted to 3 art festivals, surfed for the first time in Months, and somehow got money back on taxes. '09's looking good.
MARCH- Got a paper cut pulling the red tape thing off the edge of a piece of bologne. Thats it, I'm done with bologne.
FEBRUARY-Turned 40. Thought I'd be a millionaire by my 40th Birthday. Boy was i way off.
JANUARY-Exhibiting at the Winyah Bay Heritage Festival on the 17th and 18th in Georgertown, SC.

DECEMBER-Christmas show at the Gallery on Saturday, December 6th from 12-7p.m. Everyone's broke so it should be a blast.

NOVEMBER- Received another rejection notice, this one from the Fort Meyers Artfest. Thats 0 for 5 for artshow applications in the past 2 years. Thinking about making a calender out of 'em when i get 12. Shouldn't take too long.
OCTOBER- Slow times at the gallery. The hairs looking real thick though.

AUGUST- Gallery show on the 30th from 3-8.
JULY- Been painting houses for extra $. Its superfun. Especially the giant ones with the wrap around porches with 5 million pickets that need 3 coats. People wonder why painters are alcoholics.
JUNE- Started painting abunch of 8x10 pieces, globbing the paint on superthick. Whole new approach to painting, really getting into the color and texture. Feels good and the people seem to be diggin' 'em.
APRIL- Show in Wrightsville Beach, NC on the 13th from 1-6 at the Bluewater Grill. Its the 1st annual Surf Artisans Exhibit. Theres goona be real nice surfboards(wood inlay), photographers, and painters. Its to benefit Surfers Healing, a group that takes autistic kids surfing. Admission is $5.
MARCH- Opening up a gallery with 5 other folks, 'The Ebb and Flow Art Co-Op'. Tons of talent, a great building and a sweet location. The grand opening is on March 29th. The location is 4775 HWY 17 bypass south, Murrells Inlet. The show runs from 2-10 p.m. Wine and fod will be served.

FEBRUARY- Don't put bologne in your Raman Noodles. Sounds like a good idea but it really isn't.
JANUARY- Working on a couple big paintings(5'x6'). stayed tuned.......

DECEMBER- Went to NYC for 2 weeks and tried my luck at selling my art on the street. It was pretty exhausting and quite futile. Brooklyn kicksass though.

NOVEMBER- Show at my warehouse on the 30th. Dogs and friendly kids welcome. 5-11 P.M. Beer, wine, Sam's party platter.
OCTOBER- I went down to Charleston last week, looking for a gallery that might show my work. I went into this one nice shop and showed the attendant a couple paintings. She said,"wow, those look fun". Those look fun. I haven't been that crushed since my college professor called my paintings 'cute'. Fuck it, I quit................Where's my drink.
SEPTEMBER- I've had the shop now for 2.5 years, decided it was time to make a sign.

AUGUST- Not Much
JULY- Putting 3 paintings in a group show at David Bogarts Gallery in Milford, NJ. Sharing the Stoke: The Surf Art Show will run from July 14th til August 12th.
JUNE- Domican Republic from the 11th-21st. Much needed brake from busting my ass 25 hours a week, 43 weeks out of the year. The wife said I could drink all the rum I wanted if I wore the regional bathing attire. Not sure who lost that bet.

MAY- Bought an original Severson painting. When I was 10 Surfer mag ran a profile on him and featured several of his paintings. They got me real stoked on surfing and traveling and also made me want to be an artist. I still have that issue of Surfer(July '79).

APRIL- Redid the website. Took 3 weeks and 5 cases of PBR. Enjoy. Buy something.
MARCH- Snowboard trip the first week.
FEBRUARY- Theres a supercool Surf Art Gallery in Puerto Rico that now carries several of my originals and prints. Playa Oeste is in Rincon, located just above big wave break Tres Palms. They also have originals by Wade Koniakowsky and John Severson, couple of my favorite artists. Definitely worth checking out. AND theres a good bar that overlooks the surf at the bottom of the hill. Surf, culture, ice cold beverages. words to live by.
JANUARY- Going to the Surf Expo on the 12th. Its fun when you're not exhibiting, you get to walk around and check everything out, like the REEF booth, they make nice sandals. Then Puerto Rico on the 14th for a week, not a business trip.

DECEMBER- Usual array of Christmas artshows. Last night a Roundtable artshow at the Sheraton. Between the admission fee and my bartab I came out only $72 in the hole, not near as bad as last year. Then Thursday the 7th Palmetto Studios is having their annual show. Their Christmas shows are always fun and festive, full of spirits. Then the following night at the Train Depot the Surfrider Foundation is having a Toys for Tots show from 6-10. Bring a toy to get in and check out this really cool venue, last years event went great. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanakah.
NOVEMBER- Received the rejection notice for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival held in Miami each February. One of the biggest artshows in the Country. So much for my sober binge.
OCTOBER- On the 14th doing a show a K-Coast Surf shop in Ocean City, Maryland. Also, GALLERY 57, The Shops at Sweetgrass, 11388 B Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island is hosting a surf and ocean themed art show entitled 'Nalutopia' to benefit the Grand Strand Surfrider Foundation on Thursday, Oct. 5th from 7-10 p.m. Food provided by Austin's of Pawleys and Blue Elephant Thai, and beverages will be available.
SEPTEMBER- Started working out. Hate it.
August- Computer down
July- Nothing
JUNE- Business trip to St. Thomas at the end of the month.

MAY- Building a bar in the backyard. The wife calls it a gazebo. Whatever.

APRIL- Show at my warehousre in Murrells inlet Friday the 21st from 6-11. The address is 4775 HWY 17 Bypass South in Murrells inlet. About 1/4 mile past Wachesaw Rd. heading south on the left, behind the antique shops. Dress real casual, its Keg beer and chicken wings.



MARCH- Bought a nice camers. Photography, thats where the moneys at. Portraits, Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs. mmmmmmm, bars. Also, have 6 new paintings on the site, check 'em out. If you don't like the price, make me an offer, I won't be offended. I'm broke til April 11th. In the Palmetto Studios show on the 30th. $10 admission, that includes top shelf liquior and sodas. Food as well if your hungry.
FEBRUARY- Hopefully have canvas prints available by the end of the month. I've done a couple of proofs, added paint to them(artist embellished), turned out nice. Should have a whole new site up by the end March.
JANUARY- Will be exhibiting at the Surf Expo in Orlando on January 13, 14, and 15th. Booth # 2111. Thinking about joining a gym.

DECEMBER- 400 artshows this month, here's the 3 I'm in. Dec. 1st, Peter Nein Gallery, 4-11 PM, located at the corner of Grissom Parkway and Pine island Dr. in Myrtle Beach. Show #2 is at Palmetto Studios on the 7th from 7-10, always a good time with Mr. Morgan, Captain that is. Show #3 is a Roundtable event at The Sheraton on 21st. Ave and thats on the 17th from 7-10, Jacket required. Heading to NYC for a week after that, then straight to the B. Ford clinic. Happy Holidays.

NOVEMBER- Invited to participate in a group show at Coastal Carolina University. the Artist reception is on the 10th at 6:00 in room 128 of the Humanities Building. I like college campuses.
OCTOBER- Nothing
SEPTEMBER- Started painting. Doing a show at ID Sudios on September 21st. Thats a Wednesday. From 7-9 pm. Carribean themed. Lots of Rum. Gallery is located in the Litchfield Exchange, 2 miles south of Brookgreen Gardens, Litchfield Beach, S.C.Come on down. ARRGGGHHHHH!
AUGUST- Quit painting.
JULY- Hot. Went to Key West. Caught a fish.
JUNE- got some new stuff coming out. stickers, rustic frames with polyeurathaned prints embedded in 'em, couple new paintings. try to have them on the site by the 10th. stayed tuned.
MAY- Palmetto Studios show on the 12th, putting a couple small paintings in there(for more info call 843-839-4820). Working on three new paintings, hopefully have them on the site by the 20th.
APRIL- Won 'Best Of Show' at the March 31st Palmetto Studios show. Weathers finally warming up, been surfing a couple days this month so far, spring is here :)
MARCH- Thursday, March 3rd in a Juried WACG show at the Burroughs and Chapin Museum in Myrtle Beach. Really nice setting.Then on the 31st doing the Palmetto Studios spring show. Probably display the carved framed pieces that I've been working on. looking forward to that one. Really looking forward to summer and an end to this cold spell.
FEBRUARY- Just got a really cool warehouse. Going to get into wood carving and make frames that will enhance the paintings. I figure, Why not get into one more expensive no-money making hobby. The fridge will be there thirstday.

DECEMBER-
Finished 4 new paintings, pretty different than all my other stuff, more contemporary. All browns and reds. Should have them on my site by the 12th. Also in a group show at Palmetto Studios in Myrtle Beach on the 14th. For more info give them a ring at 843-839-4840.

OCTOBER- 3 shows coming up this month. The first is on October 28th at Palmetto Studios on 11th ave n. in Myrtle Beach. The second is a surfrider benefit show in Charleston on the 30th at the Lost Dog bar and restaurant. And then on Nov. 6th the Roundtable artgroup is having a show at the Radisson hotel on 21st ave. in myrtle beach.
SEPTEMBER- Napped.
AUGUST- Still working. Finished 3 real paintings, should have the prints available by the 3rd week in September. Check back.
JULY- Worked. I airbrush surfboards in the summer, that's my 'real' beer and butter job. Went to the Dominican Republic for my 2 year wedding anniversary. You can't beat their all inclusive deals in the off season. I highly recommend the place, and I heard there's waves on the north side but I never made it.
JUNE- I'll be doing a show around June 19th in Belmar, New Jersey. I'll know the exact time and location by the end of this week(may 14th). Here's the details. The show is at the F Street Gallery, 1005 1/2 main Street, Belmar, NJ. Its on Saturday, june 19th, from 7pm til 10 pm. Wine and Hors d'Oeuvres will be served. You're invited.
